NYC 4-Day Tour

Consider this sample itinerary for a 4-day tour of New York City. Though we customize every tour we build, this will give you an idea about the many exciting attractions NYC has to offer and how you might be able to fit several into one thrilling tour.

Day One

Midtown

Begin your NYC tour in Midtown, home of the Empire State Building and New York Public Library. You’ll see any number of iconic Manhattan sights as you explore these most famous city streets in the world, including Fifth Avenue. Look out for other classics like Trump Tower and Tiffany’s.

Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum

Unfortunately, this is the only place in NYC where you’re guaranteed to rub shoulders with celebrities and legendary icons. Fortunately, it’s an exciting place to do it – in the heart of Times Square, boasting amazing likenesses of all your favorite people.

Lower Manhattan

The Southstreet Seaport is part of the historic culture you’ll find in Lower Manhattan. The financial district is here and many recognizable sights and new discoveries as well.

Broadway Play

Choose from comedy, whodunnits, drama, historicals, big-name celebrities, and of course the classic Broadway musical.

Day Two

NBC Studios

Holding a prominent spot in Rockefeller Center, the NBC studios buzz with activity from morning to night. Go behind the action with a tour.

Rockefeller Center

See the rest of the famous sights of Rockefeller, including Radio City Music Hall, the skating rink, underground concourse, and – during the holiday season – the famous Christmas tree.

Top of the Rock

A spacious observatory deck at the top of 30 Rockefeller Plaza. This is one of the most thrilling ways to view this breathtaking cityscape.

Macy’s Herald Square

The famous store on 34th street is many floors and takes up an entire city block. It’s the largest department store in the world with something of interest for everyone.

Times Square after dark

After a fun supper in an iconic restaurant like Planet Hollywood or BB King’s Blues Club and Grill, spend a thrilling evening in Times Square. There’s no sight quite like the bright lights and the crowds of Times Square.

Day Three

CBS Morning Show

Your chance to be on t.v. begins here. It’s always fun for students to watch a live t.v. production.

Central Park

These are NYC’s most beautiful 800 acres. You’ll love every iconic landmark here, the wide-open spaces, tree-covered walkways, and famous bridges, lakes, and ponds.

American Museum of Natural History

Just west of Central Park rests this museum, the perfect experience for any student. Be astounded by the giant mammals and reptiles, the fascinating exhibits, Hayden Planetarium, and much more.

Day four

Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island

This national landmark is a must for school tours. Lady Liberty inspires a sense of pride in and gratitude for our nation’s founding principles. Ellis Island tells the story of the millions who came here in search of the freedom that inspires that gratitude.

World Trade Center / 9/11 Memorial

This amazing construction site and nearby museum together tell the story of a national tragedy and the memorial being built to honor those who died as well as those who heroically helped with the rescue efforts. You’ll find a wonderful view of the rebuilding site from the Winter Garden and information about the future of the site when you visit the WTC Visitor Center.

Chinatown, Little Italy, and Greenwich Village

Some of the most fun you’ll have in NYC is in exploring its famous neighborhoods. A professional guide is a great enhancement to this experience as they walk you through Manhattan’s Chinatown, Little Italy, and Greenwich Village, complete with the history behind them, their notable architecture, and their most interesting sights.
