New York / DC Combination Tour

Day One

Travel day with arrival at a DC hotel or one outside the city. Ask about our security for students as well.

Day Two

National Harbor – Visit the enormous statue of a once-sleeping giant, called Awakening. Browse the shops and restaurants of National Harbor, drive through historic DC area neighborhoods.

Mt. Vernon – The beautiful George Washington estate always inspires American students. Accompanying curriculum and programs enhance the experience. Tour the home and grounds or consider a National Treasure tour of Mt. Vernon’s underground tunnels.

Newseum – Your first DC museum is dedicated to journalism, or rather to heroic journalists and the headlines they’ve captured, plus the photos seen ’round the world. You can even try news-reporting yourself in interactive exhibits.

Smithsonian Museum of American History – Historical artifacts make American history come alive. The pop culture section is a special favorite.

Dinner and a Show

Enjoy a meal together and then entertainment at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

Day Three

White House Tour – You’ve been waiting for this one! Be sure to get a group photo on the lawn.

Capitol Hill – Another must for DC tours. You can even arrange to meet your congressman.

National Archives – Stop by this famous rotunda to view some of America’s most important historical documents.

National Holocaust Memorial Museum – An amazing experience for students, especially the exhibit specially designed for youth: Daniel’s Story.

Air and Space Museum – You can fill this space with any number of amazing Smithsonian choices. The Air & Space Museum is perhaps the most popular with its larger-than-life space and aircraft exhibits and artifacts.

Museum of Crime and Punishment – A school tour favorite with trivia, interactive exhibits, and a fun-house style format, highlighting famous criminals, their crimes, and those who protect us through crime scene investigation.

Odyssey Dinner Cruise – A thrilling end to your DC adventure as a group. Includes music, dancing, and a view of DC from the water.

Day Four

Travel by motorcoach to NEW YORK CITY

Lunch on Times Square

Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum – For the world’s best likenesses of celebrities and legendary icons.

Ripley’s Believe It Or Not – See the unbelievable in fun and fascinating exhibits.

Empire State Building – No NYC tour is complete without this iconic observation deck and its view.

Dinner and a Show – Enjoy a meal together and then a Broadway production for the most iconic NYC experience yet.

Day Five

Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island – See Lady Liberty up close and take a thrilling cruise to Ellis Island, a truly American, historical treasure.

American Museum of Natural History – Amazing exhibits with larger-than-life mammals, sea creatures, and dinosaurs, plus the Hayden Planetarium. You can even take a tour based on Night at the Museum.

The Met – This amazing museum has something for everyone, with art, costumes, fashion, sculpture, even works-in-progress… and, of course, so much more.

Planet Hollywood or Mars 2112 – Choose a thrilling theme restaurant for a relaxing meal.

Day Six

Central Park – Tour this peaceful oasis just beyond city streets, see iconic landmarks from television and film (you can even take a Central Park Movie Walking Tour), then have lunch in the park.
